Ather Energy / Icon Set

During my time at Ather Energy, we designed and developed a set of icons for a multipurpose usage across the brand.

The icons have a basic look and feel with constant stroke thickness and very slightly rounded corners. A dot with a slight gap is placed at an aesthetically appropriate place in the icon. This is based around the concept of the logo and the circle in it. And using it like an electrical switch in all the icons. Thus connecting across the brand.

The idea was to try and use culturally relevant icons that people are aware of to avoid hassle in recognition. At smaller sizes we focus on usability, so understanding and recognition become more important.

The style is inverted and stripped of some of it’s personality to have filled in solid icons, but with the same basic form factor. As the size goes up, we can inject some more personality into the icons as it’s to see and understand.
